not to be too On One but the thing about these rust-hostile linux kernel guys is that it's also just such a waste of an opportunity to learn rust? like if you're a kernel maintainer, and someone sends you a rust patch, you can ask *endless* questions about language features you don't understand. you have a community of very engaged engineers very much incentivized to teach you how to read and write rust. and what do some of these guys do? they stick their noses up at it. what a waste!!
we were told there were roaming bands of rust evangelists willing to do work for us for free just for the love of the game. where are they!!!
if someone tried to introduce rust code to tangara we would say "can you please give us a rough sense of the binary size + memory impact of this?", then we would make sure the toolchain setup is easy, and then we would say "okay cool thank u merging now"
it's so funny when people describe something about their tangara as being "from the factory". well known industrial factory "jacquelines' living room"
EU Battery Regulation (2023/1542) is trying to ruin our life at this time
oh 250 more tangaras shipped since friday apparently. neat!
suppose you have a desktop computer. how often are u turning that thing off?
