Yet another awful and gross thing about the forced closeting of trans kids, banning of their online spaces, eliminating any adult support network from safe individuals. The trans kids are still there. They're still going to be going around desperately searching for community and love and acceptance from whomever and wherever they can. And when they can't get it from schools or doctors or moderated online communities or family or trusted friends or teachers, where do they turn? They don't become cis if that's what you're hoping for them to do. No, they just look for whomever DOES. Which at best can be other trans kids, trying to teach themselves full of rumors and misinformation and hyperbole what they can. At worst, well, that's where child predators lurk.
