Oaks are shedding their corns right about now. Those seeds will easily blossom into small plants and will eventually become majestic trees. It's also a cool project to do with kids and will teach them the importance of planting trees for the next generations. If you really want to make a difference for nature, fight back concrete and asphalt by planting as many trees as you can in open, abandoned fields. Finally done! It took me 3 days on and off, but I managed to build my very first handplane. I used 90% hand tools, especially for cutting and shaping the wood. It was my first time using brass though and I never expected to be so hard and strong, so I shaped it with an angle grinder and a bench grinder. It's a small block plane, made of Wenge and brass. I repurposed an old iron to fit into the frog and coated everything with boiled linseed oil. Since this little plane came out fat, I called it "Chonky" 🙈 Here I am edge planing some random fir. #woodworking #grownostr
