If you ever wonder why right winger's brains are completely cooked, here's an example from the dailymail, a pretty mainstream news outlet.
Story is about an elderly woman who lives in a senior living facility which had a contract where they waive rent for people who outlive their savings. The facility got bought by private equity, who didn't want to honor the contract and tried to evict her.
The second story, is completely unrelated, and refers to a California housing aid program for first time buyers. The program offers zero interest loans for down payments, which are capped at a maximum of $150k. In place of interest, the borrower sells 20% of their future house price appreciation to the lender. California plans to waive the immigration status requirement for people who would otherwise meet all the qualifications for the program, opening it up to undocumented immigrants.
The headline and story basically just combine two entirely unrelated articles in a not-so-subtle attempt to push great replacement theory, by making it sound like the government is evicting vulnerable elderly citizens while giving random immigrants $150k in cash so they can buy their homes.
