My family is definitely going through a natural evolution away from reliance on state to self-sustaining this year. Wife is starting to realise the lies about nutrition, health, etc. Ironically it's through Instagram which we know has been used by state actors to control the narrative.
PV #nostr, how are we all doing this Monday?
Life is tiring at the moment. 1. Being a husband 2. Being a father 3. Being spiritual head of the house 4. Day job 5. Building products to be financially independent 6. Planning and implementing open source tech to move to self hosted & private life 7. Maintaining our veg garden 8. Gym & dieting 9. Reading books to increase knowledge & wisdom Anyone else feel like they’re drowning? #plebchain #asknostr
8:31, two kids screaming, it’s the start of a good day 🙃
Spent a bit of time redoing my website (huwfulcher.com). Having an absolute blast now that I’ve reframed its purpose. Rather than making it for OTHERS I’ve made it for ME. It’s a place I like to visit. That subtle shift in perspective means I don’t worry about “what should I put on there?” I put on what I want. We’re big on reclaiming our sovereignty online with #nostr. A personal website which is foundational to your identity should be a cornerstone of that. #plebchain #grownostr

Did something fun with my website yesterday. I can now quick post there from my phone using Apple Shortcuts and a double tap on the back of my phone. This is all via self-hosting but could also be done with a website on somewhere like Netlify/Github. As long as you have a webhook watching changes to your repo
Saw someone else post it yesterday but as a reminder: Your community is online. It’s IRL, build face to face connections
Moved our family media server from Jellyfin to Emby. The reason? We can now actually watch our media on a Smart TV. Jellyfin team seem to be dragging their feet in getting their apps onto TVs like Samsung. Emby have there’s on loads of TVs.
