When I was in Japan back in 2011, I had the pleasure of meeting Keisuke Narita, the founder and force behind Irregular Rhythm Asylum (IRA) in Tokyo. IRA is more than just a shop — it's an anarchist stronghold in the middle of one of the busiest cities on earth. A place where rebels, organizers, artists, and punks come together to build community, resist capitalism, and share the beautiful idea. Now Keisuke is in a serious fight — he’s been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and is currently hospitalized undergoing treatment. As a result, IRA is temporarily closed, and there's a real danger it won’t survive this rough patch without some backup.
