@Chimney Sweepers Local 420 mind adding `white-space: pre-wrap` to this one? otherwise it's hard to format it https://morel.us-east.host.bsky.network/xrpc/com.atproto.sync.getBlob?did=did:plc:fpruhuo22xkm5o7ttr2ktxdo&cid=bafkreiaordntymtcljp3axi4w4glluj7ax5iaddsqrawvabq3wh3fl5ugy

@Chimney Sweepers Local 420 what's a canonical way to encode a postfactum rejection? e.g. have a decision with path A and B, chose A, but then a few weeks later it turned out A was a bad idea, and now we choose B or maybe even some new C. in that case do we still model B and C as options? or is it new chain
maybe if more ppl from this corner follow [@bcherny.bsky.social@bsky.brid.gy]( ) he’ll start posting here too 🤔 RE:
this is probably the best articulation i’ve seen for what’s happening now in programming as well as the distractions in the discourse RE:
shoutout to the bluesky team for running this site during probably the strangest times to run such a site
i sent a PR yesterday to make all feeds receive the interests selected during onboarding. currently only Bluesky-run feeds (like Discover) get them which severely undercuts third party feeds’ ability to serve relevant content for new users who don’t have any likes. i hope the team considers this [Send interests to all feeds by...]( )
[@spacecowboy17.bsky.social]( ) i’m sure you’ve written about it before somewhere, but is there a concise description of how For You is different from Popular With Friends? is it essentially that it finds likers with similar taste rather than just posts liked by people you follow?
ironically using the For You feed also makes Discover better because it lets you find more adjacent people, and the Likes and Follows you make on For You end up helping Discover too RE: View quoted note →
