is there any repository or a place with freely available English translations of classic mathematical papers? i mean the actual historic stuff, like original writing by Euler, Cantor, etc. ideally well-curated. i donβt actually know how clear their writing is, so inline modern notes are welcome too
iβm enjoying learning mathematics in Lean quite a bit. i do it recreationally but i am starting to wonder if i can ever get paid doing it.
the main obstacle is that nobody has a reason to pay me to learn basic things, and i seriously doubt my ability to move beyond those. even then, itβs academia
