this doesn’t always work but one of my favorite pedagogical tricks is that it’s often ok to skip explaining how to solve less obvious subproblems because the readers who can identify those as problems are the same readers who would be capable of resolving them on their own

don’t remember if this actually happened but i vaguely remember a story about some piece of infra written in haskell that was wonderfully sophisticated and did a really good job too, and how it eventually got replaced by an alternative in php so that more people at the company could understand it
