i kind of want to write a dozen more posts about RSC, more to the point and less abstract than my last post (now that i got it out of my system). but i also feel like it’s inviting endless takes about "dan trying to explain rsc means rsc is bad" and it kinda ruins some of the process for me
got some tips coming through via ko-fi but all one-time so far. gonna swap the default to monthly and see if that nudges the behavior. i think fundamentally it would be nice to build a subscription base but i'd also need to be posting more consistently so i'm not sure what's fairer right now

kind of interesting that the chokehold native-monetization ("subscribe and pay" button) platforms have over creators might be even worse than with non-money social networks in the sense that losing your "follower graph" literally means losing income, there’s not even a degree of separation
