Rutterkin - Brewster’s - 5.0% ABV. B+ and a bit, light with sweet malt to start with a grapefruity body. Citrus bitter finish #ale #beer #bier 3.3/5. Strangely stronger than its last outing but still a little thin. Lingering finish. A good sunny weather brew. Malcolm Uphill, Caerphilly.
Cornish Blackberry Crumble and Clotted Cream Sour Cream - New Bristol / Bluntrock - 6.0% ABV. B++, fruity, tart and sour. Refreshing and moorish #ale #beer #bier 3.5/5. Apparently a Winter Ale but works equally well in Spring. Always had a soft spot for New Bristol Brewery and this is no different. Tidy. image
Lapsang Souchong Smoked Porter - Steam Machine - 7.4% ABV. B++ and a touch. Complex and very interesting. Malty, bitter, tea, sharp and smokey #ale #beer #bier 3.6/5. The thing about Weird Dad is he gets some really great Fine Ales. Smoked Ale with tea. Complex and really good. image
CAMRA Man - Weird Dad - 4.2% ABV. B+ and a bit, pale, light and refreshing. Gently malty and hoppy. Hint of fruit and bitterness in the finish #ale #beer #bier 3.3:5. Was 4.9% and is now 4.2%. Politics, taxation and Fine Ales. Not going any further, however, you can guess.
Eternal Spring - Quantock Brewery - 4.5% ABV. B+ and a bit. Light, malty, fruity, gently juicy and sweet. Sweet fruit with a hint of bitterness in the finish #ale #beer #bier 3.3/5. Light Pale’s are seeming appropriate now. The wind may be from the East and cold but the Sun is strong. Spring, maybe? image
