Tod’s Blonde - Little Valley - 5.0% ABV. B+ and a touch, malty with a hint of sherry like taste. Dry, slightly fruity, bitter finish #ale #beer #bier 3.1/5. Another 5.0% start to the day. Not sure it’s at its best but at £1.69 a Pint, who’s complaining? Good to be back in Newport.

Cavendish - Holbeck - 5.0% ABV. B++, straight out of who knows where comes this bitter forward ale. Hoppy bitter with a long strong fruity bitter finish #ale #beer #bier 3.5/5. Only American in the sense it’s amplified in the hops and bitterness sense. Really welcome and matches the weather.

Moonlight - Arkell’s - 4.5% ABV. B+ and a bit, has traditional quality written all over it. Well balanced mix of malt, hops, slight fruitiness and bitterness. #ale #beer #bier 3.3/5. British history on the pump clip, A Lysander at Night. This is helping me fight my cold. Medicinal.
