The disappointment is massive.
I grew up with the whole remembrance culture and I’ve admired my country for it.
But the lesson, to me, was always “never again—to anyone, anywhere.”
What other lesson is there to draw from a #genocide, other than that we—all of us—cannot accept any kind of genocide, anywhere in the world!
But that lesson was not learned. And what #Germany never *taught* was the history of #Palestine and #Israel, one that must and can be understood.
