This aircraft is the most crucial in Putin's air warfare as it is responsible for marking targets and alerting aircraft of approaching threats. Due to the multitude of systems installed, it is extremely costly, with each aircraft costing over $300 million. This is the second one Russia has lost to Ukraine.
