White men in tech have a lot of repair work to do. For decades, too many of you have sat comfortably in rooms built on exclusion, quietly benefiting while you lionized other mediocre, unremarkable white men as “visionaries.” You watched as they coded harm, unchecked and unchallenged, because it didn’t seem to harm you. Now we’ve arrived here, at the inevitable outcome of that silence and complicity. Where beliefs and statements like this are not fringe, but normalized:

When I read @npub1t8u7...c7sk's “The Majority AI View”, what struck me most wasn’t just his critique of the current state of AI, it was how clearly it exposes the same predictable pattern that Ijeoma Oluo lays out in Mediocre, and that I continue to explore through Life Beyond the Supremacy Myth. Once again, we see the myth of white male supremacy at work. Where the loudest, most harmful voices are mistaken for the most “visionary,”

Folx often assume that because of the content I share, I don’t have any white friends. That’s untrue. In fact, the white friends I do have are some of my closest relationships. Not because they’re “different” from other white people, but because they understand a few fundamental truths and engage with me accordingly. Here’s what that looks like:

Common annoyances, inconveniences, and disappointments shouldn’t unravel you but for so many white folx, they do. That flash of rage when plans change. That deep frustration when someone doesn’t immediately accommodate your needs. That disbelief when a door doesn’t open just because you knocked. That’s not random emotion…that’s conditioning. It’s the myth of white supremacy at work.

In my dreams last night, one message kept repeating itself: You can’t just be concerned about you and yours, who’s in your boat, you also have to consider those who are being pulled under by the wake you leave behind. This theme has been with me throughout the morning because it’s understandable to work to survive the storm but it’s another thing to row so hard toward your own safety that you create waves that cause others to drown.

The height of the myth of white, mediocre male supremacy is believing, with your full chest, that you deserved a Nobel PEACE Prize while actively ticking off an enemies list. This is what happens when power, privilege, and ego go unchecked. When “greatness” is defined not by collective wellbeing or accountability, but by domination and myth-making. When white men can wage war, literally and figuratively, and still be seen as benevolent leaders.

So that there’s no further confusion, CRT/DEI/“woke” are NOW just acceptable ways for folx who benefit from systems, institutions, and policies DESIGNED to privilege the few at the expense of the many to call Black folx “nigger”

I’m very much looking forward to the moment when folx attacking Black professional women and DEI, which white women benefit most from, REALIZE that shit’s falling because WE WERE THE MOST QUALIFIED in the room 🤷🏾‍♀️

Ok, I need help I started watching a documentary about the harmful impact of tourism on local economies and ecosystems on a recent flight and I’m too high to remember the damn name AND I won’t remember any of this when I’m not 🤷🏾‍♀️

Because it ALWAYS starts with anti-Blackness…anti-Blackness is the test balloon that is ALWAYS sent up to see how tolerant folx are of hate speech…once they realize that y’all don’t give a fuck about Black folx…they move on to other marginalized groups…this is not new
