I can admit that the mug shots make a huge difference…this feels so different than those other indictments

The fact that folx are WILLINGLY following the machinations of HIGHLY EDUCATED, INFORMED & PRIVILEGED individuals related to book and curricula bans IMPACTING students ability to successfully navigate the world is MIND-BLOWING given that these same HIGHLY EDUCATED, INFORMED & PRIVILEGED individuals will ENSURE that their children are prepared for what lies ahead

It’s so funny how much of the “Mastodon is better than twitter” narrative I’m exposed to when my experience here, doesn’t feel much better…just all manner of white folx telling me what to do 🤦🏾‍♀️ “If you don’t like X then do Y” As a Black woman, being here feels so much like every other white dominated space I enter offline…a bunch of do-gooders with LOTS of opinions AND no DEMONSTRATED behavior of helping to change the issues I’m addressing…so…useless…like every other day ending with a “y”

On its face, musk suggesting that the ability to block, for whatever reason, “makes no sense” feels like same shit different day EXCEPT when you begin to unpack the depths to which he, and others, see consent as a personal barrier, they must overcome/eliminate rather than a bases for community norms; a “civil society” 🤔 These are DEFINITELY the “no” means “maybe” folx

So I guess I’ll download threads now that dipshit has decided to remove the ability to block since most of the folx I follow; those whose worldviews interest me will lose the ability to protect themselves from targeted harassment 🤦🏾‍♀️

Ok, I watch a lot of murder docs and all too often when they interview friends/family of the “killer” their response is disbelief and some form of “I’m surprised/I can’t believe it/that’s not the person I know/they couldn’t have” Instead of looking objectively at the evidence, many see themselves; projection, which leads to calls for leniency It’s much easier to demonize those outside one’s affinity group when one doesn’t see one’s reflection in the “other”

Think about the LACK of self-awareness AND the nerve imbued by white supremacy AND anti-Blackness to think that jumping a Black man in front of HUNDREDS of other Black folx was a good fuckin idea This is what the next 2/yrs will be…white folx who’re used to getting away with racist shit facing the reality of a 21st century, connected, and strategic Black community…it will NOT be pretty

What this particular chaos agent [Musk], who OVERPAID for a product that he clearly doesn’t understand beyond the cult, is doing is reframing the “importance” of being there and breaking the addiction that many of us had with that platform PSA: I WILL NEVER PAY TO BE THERE
