I'm batting around the idea that Blippi is just the Tom Green Show for 4 year olds.
Pro tip: when you give your dog a bath, have Sarah McLachlan's Angel all queued up on your phone. That way, when they look up at you from the bathtub with those ASPCA-eyes full of sadness and betrayal, you'll get the full experience.
Santa Claus gives all the bad girls and boys coal...I wish he would give them dogshit instead, because I have plenty for him to use while administering Christmas judgment.
Sitting down to watch a Christmas movie with the family. Trying to decide what to watch. Its really just a question of how much do I hate them right now. Do I hate them this much?:
Livia Soprano is 1,000 times worse than Joffrey Baratheon and I'm tired of the internet pretending its close.
I like John Carvalho's BIP in theory. All the points he raises make sense to me. The problem is, it's too late for a change like this - bitcoin is the system, sats are the unit. You have a better chance of getting the US on the metric system than making this change.
My kids do a weekend hockey program and I'm wildly jealous of them. It's awesome. When practice is over, I want to grab them by the head, Billy Madison style, and tell them "Stay here. Stay here as long as you can. For the love of God, cherish it. You have to cherish it."
The whole Milei/Hoppe beef is interesting. Hoppe's criticisms of Milei are all probably correct, and yet I lean towards Milei on things simply because Hoppe is an academic. Doing something political and not getting assassinated requires power. Anyone can write a book.
I find the opinions on UHC CEO shooting interesting. It's either viewed as a good thing, or a bad thing with some disclaimers (eg "I don't condone it, but I get it"). I haven't seen a lot of outrage. I wonder what that says about our mindset today, and what it means when things break down economically even more. It seems like people aren't morally opposed to this type of behavior, it's just not in their best interest.
Idea: a nostr bot that looks for offensive posts, and then replies with a mock Twitter suspension notice screen including the text of the post, just for old time sake. I'm a sucker for nostalgia.
