The fear of what we lived in Gaza will stay with us forever. Every day I wake up and check on my family to make sure everyone is okay. Every small meal feels special because we lived a long time without enough food. When I hear any sudden sound, I get scared, even if it’s something simple. Every morning, I forget that our home is gone, and every day I am hurt again by this truth. We are still suffering, and the pain now is even greater than before. #gaza #palestine

A massive wave of rain is coming to Gaza on Friday. We used to love the rain but now we pray it doesn’t fall. Most people here live in tents, and the rest under broken roofs. I still remember the nights our tent flooded last year. We wished for death a thousand times from the pain and helplessness. Now we wait for winter with fear, under a weak roof in a destroyed home.
