Currency barter means you end up piling up a basket of currencies. And you will also have BTC in the basket. Then the question is how to balance BTC together with other currencies. And the answer is just keep BTC, the rest are not needed as reserve. And in case you set BTC aside, holding zero, You are not against BTC, you are against yourself! So expect others protect against you soon as you either have no currency (weak) or you want your own currency as the reserve (dominant).

We need global trade as we want to produce the best and consume the best and do it (multi-) planet scale. Even if you argue for one type of currency, you argue for BTC.
