The latest Long Term Support (LTS) versions across the Element Server Suite (ESS) range are now available for ESS Classic, ESS Pro and ESS TI-M - delivering enhanced stability and security. ESS Classic now has Matrix Authentication Service (MAS), making it the perfect time to start moving users to Element X app. Element Admin now included in ESS Pro and ESS Community - industry standard auth, improved user mgt and smoother admining!
At #MatrixConf2025, Mathieu Velten from [@numerique_gouv]( ) shared the evolution of Tchap - the French public sector messaging tool based on @The Matrix.org Foundation 💡Tchap, a fork of Element, now has a server for each ministry and 375K active users as part of a large private federation. It is also part of La Suite, the collaboration platform integrating open source tools for public agents. Tchap plans to adopt open federation to connect with external parties, such as local authorities.
