Storked (t) So, a while back, like around 1911, there were a bunch of folks from Denmark that were looking for a place that was a little more temperate during the winter. They had enough of the cold after centuries of the stuff in Denmark and the midwest of the United States. One of the Danes knew of the Rancho San Carlos de Jonata Mexican land grant and thought the area would be ideal. The Chumash Indians were not thrilled...
