The way the mac finder works (or fails AND reindexing only seems to solve portions for a short while) means that I finally researched alternative search tools that don't use spotlight. I am now waiting for it to index a single drive & I have no idea how long this will take. 345,000+ so far...

Just got an email “Explore Your 2025 Year in Review!” 2024 and earlier were there but nothing for 2025. I’m not sure why but it felt like a marketing department that refused to talk to other departments.

This is why you should open up the house to the outdoors sometimes. CO2 is 394 and often it’s over 550 and I start feeling it around 630 (which is still low.) I see so much more that requires simplifying that I just want the naming to stay consistent. No haphazard changes. I set up several new test accounts on other PDSs this week & even for my early adopter self had a spreadsheet open to take notes. Some turned out to migration only & that wasn't clear.

Authors will get to choose if they want their work to be DRM-free with Amazon soon. As a consumer I wish what I bought on Kindle was accessible without Amazon's app but understand some authors want the DRM.
