it's real: first MNT Quasar processor module prototype, assembled today by @theawesomerandomness! this will allow the usage of qualcomm qcs6490 and hopefully two other pin compatibles in current and future MNT open hardware laptops/computers.
does someone here know an unusual amount about USB3 superspeed (5gpbs), maybe even DWC3, whose brain i could pick for a bit?
i'm trying to establish a way to pinpoint on which technical layer some issues happen. i.e. SI/analog, PHY, SoC bus/QoS, xhci driver quirks...
this might be damaging to my character image, but i have to admit that i did watch the meta demo fail video and it was schadenfreude and fascination that i felt
ok, here we go, one qualcomm processor module for MNT Reform/Pocket/Next fully routed. tomorrow polishing/checks/silkscreen etc... and then: will it power on? :D
