Fairly certain that the new bed I bought from Kōchi Japan shipped out via UPS and based on tracking information has essentially traveled back in time to reach me. Pretty cool imo. πŸ’β€β™‚οΈ image

Serious question. At 36 I feel I have so much yet to learn, however I have, and do - pride myself on trying my best to be a good friend. I reach out, at the least I will send someone a text sort of "checking in" if I know the odds are good they have family / work obligations. Is it wrong of me to at least expect a reply, at any time? Undoubtedly one can't expect any timeline here, but I have to say, I feel disrespected as a friend when someone can't even bother to ever respond. πŸ€” Making new social connections at 36 and living in a rural area is hard man... #asknostr #advice
Since working out daily I have noticed a decrease in the quality of my sleep. I am fairly convinced at this point my mattress isn't providing the support my body needs to fully recover. Today I completed my research and ordered a shikibutan from Japan. I feel the firm support may help straighten me out (horrific pun not intended) and I am always a fan of a minimalistic and simplistic way of living. Will report in when things make it here. 😴

I'm not an absolute believer nor denier of climate change, but no one can convince me that SOMETHING isn't going on with Mother Nature. I've lived on this farm for nearly 40 years now and things are unbelievably dry. Cutting our grass? Like vacuuming dirt. Hay production is the worst we've ever encountered. We barely got first crop, let alone thought of a second or third. I can sit in my office and watch dark clouds blow East of us into Pittsburgh and beyond and we have gotten nothing in the way of water. Just feels crazy and extremely unusual. With that being said, the natural spring below our home still seems to be providing water, so that's wonderful. I just hope things don't continue down this road very long. A dry winter could start next year disastrously. #SmallFarms #nature
