I think this might change. Through some combination of caching, token cost reduction, or local models, I think the endpoint might be plain-English written specs and test suites as source code, with LLM compilers

I’m going to be the old man (41) who talks about understanding the code the AI generates and being able to write it by hand. The kids will say I’m out of date, and I’ll never be sure they’re wrong. The indignity will never be lost on me that I’m talking about hand-writing god damn Javascript.
As a fairly experienced and middle aged software engineer, this advice “sounds right” to juniors but it’s wrong and it needs to stop being suggested
