If your goal is total surveillance of a population it’s not practical to stream all data from every device to a central location. Instead subsidize AI inference hardware to put into every device and subsidize open weight models and let everyone welcome a surveillance bot into their life. Then have the AI selectively upload obfuscated data. Expect this to be fast tracked.
