While we are sanctioning Venezuela, Turkey has helped Venezuela circumvent sanctions against Venezuelan gold companies. And while the EU faces severe migration problems, Turkey has actively facilitated migration towards Europe. Who needs enemies when we have a friend like Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

I recall Trump promising to build a wall. I just did not think it was a wall around the Epstein files.

In 24 hours we have gone from, "The Epstein files are a hoax" to "Democrats are in the Epstein files, we demand a full investigation". How convenient — now Trump can say they are investigating the Epstein files, and then slow walk that investigation forever while ensuring Trump is not investigated. All the while any request for public oversight can be denied on the grounds of there being an ongoing investigation. If only The Nobel Committee had a corruption prize Trump could win.

Now that the US under Trump has lost the position as leader of the free world, who do you think will take over? The second largest country in NATO is Turkey (population 85 million), but I am not listing this country, because very few countries listen to Erdogan. Instead I am listing three large NATO members, which play a key role in NATO today, as well as the EU institution itself.
