Bad news and good news… Bad news: The Russian invaders have taken half of the city of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk, and there is a real risk the city will fall in the coming weeks. The good news: This city is only 44 kilometers from Avdiivka, which the Russians took on February 17 2024. This means, it has already taken Russia 625 days to move just 44 kilometers further into Ukraine. Ukraine is 1316 kilometers wide from east to west, so at this rate, it would take decades to take Ukraine.

It is finally official: In The Netherlands the far-right racism party led by Geert Wilders lost to 38-year-old Rob Jetten and his social liberal party called Democrats 66 which got around 15,162 more votes (still counting). Like Trump, Geert Wilders now claims voter fraud. But while he is whining, Rob Jetten and D66 will now be in charge of forming a new government.
