 Totally agree to be pissed about #ChatControl and Yes to direct that anger at the @European Commission. At the same time, I think it's important to understand that the Commission is not one unified block. It's a huge institution, and totally possible that the Directorate-General for Home Affairs promotes breaking #encryption while DG Justice attempts to protect #democracy and folks who drafted the original #DSA in DG Connect try to defend Europeans' free expression rights from #BigTech overreach.
