According to an article from Entekhab, Iran is pursuing the purchase of the J-10C Chinese multi-role fighter jet.
Interestingly, Entekhab says Iran has already acquired a maximum of 4 Su-35 jets from Russia, but the remaining 50 will likely not arrive in a year or two.
That’s why Iran is seeking to purchase the Chinese J-10C as past obstacles that made China afraid (Trump said China can buy oil from Iran) are lessened.
Initial numbers suggest a large number of J-10C jets are on the agenda to be purchased. Iran’s defense minister’s visit to Beijing for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, 5 days ago, is seen to be in this context.
