My sister sent me her crossword puzzle for the day. LFG. image
My trip to Nashville for this year’s Bitcoin conference was a blur and felt short, but here are three memories from the trip I’ll never forget: 1) Visiting @Bitcoin Park 2) The Beefsteak dinner 3) Hotstyle Takeover of @RABBIT HOLE RECAP Bitcoin Park is where some of the best people work/build. While I was there, I witnessed an awesome conversation between @ODELL, @gladstein, Zack Shapiro, and TN Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti. Great moment for the future of TN. Shoutout to @mads for having me as her guest. The Beefsteak was phenomenal as always. Kudos to all the volunteers! This time the location, the menu, and the band made it unique. However, the best part was connecting with great people over food/drinks. I met so many of my favorite bitcoiners and made a bunch of new contacts. The Hotstyle Takeover of RHR was so fun! The roast of @ODELL and @Marty Bent was hilarious, they took it like champs (and even fired back haha). The convos during the rip were honest, spicy, and a great reminder of what’s at stake. Lastly, if you’re newer to Bitcoin and haven’t been to a conference yet, go to one and build your network. Attend a couple smaller satellite events because that’s where you’ll make the best memories. Remember, we might be considered psychopaths by some, but we’re going to win. image
I just spent the morning at Bitcoin Park. Incredible people, infectious energy, and important conversations. Fired up.
Uber driver: “Where ya headed?” Me: “Nashville for a Bitcoin conference” UD: “Oh…that’s still a thing?” Me: “Bitcoin is the most important invention of our lifetime” UD: “Really? Why is that?” I spend the next 20 minutes talking about how I don’t like my time stolen, and neither should he. He’s interested now. I give him three recommendations: - Watch Lyn Alden’s video’s “How Money and Banking Work” - Watch Jack Maller’s keynote “Intro to Bitcoin” from Bitcoin Atlantis - Read “The Bitcoin Standard”
