22 September 1942 | Two Polish prisoners escaped from the SS recreation center Soletal (Sola-Hütte) in Międzybrodzie (about 30 km south of the camp): Alfons Kiprowski (b. 9 Oct 1921, camp no. 801, registered 20 June 1940) and Piotr Jaglic (Jaglicz) (b. 29 June 1922, camp no. 3616, registered 30 August 1940 – pictured), who had been carrying out finishing work and landscaping there. image
25 September 1882 | Dutch Jewish woman Naatje Dessaur-Susan was born in Amsterdam. She arrived at #Auschwitz on 26 September 1942 in a transport of 928 Jews deported from #Westerbork.
