9 July 1924 | Polish Jew Chaim Hersch Litwok was born. A tailor. In #Auschwitz from 22 October 1941. No. 21889 He perished in the camp on 3 November 1941.

9 July 1902 | A Czech Jewish woman, Alice Weilová, was born in Kostelec nad Orlicí. She was deported to #Auschwitz from Theresienstadt Ghetto on 18 December 1943. She did not survive.

8 July 1934 | Czech Jewish boy, Štěpán Jäger, was born in Prague. He was deported to #Auschwitz from Theresienstadt ghetto on 4 October 1944. He was murdered in a gas chamber after arrival selection.

8 July 1919 | A Pole, Władysław Cieślikowski, was born in Skopanie. He was deported to #Auschwitz on 14 June 1940 from Tarnów in the first transport of Poles to the camp. No. 683 He perished on 3 May 1945 in the Lubeck Bay tragedy.

8 July 1942 | Probably the first time a public execution by hanging took place in #Auschwitz. Two Polish prisoners: Tadeusz Pejsik (12549) and Henryk Pajączkowski (22867) were murdered. They had been captured after the escape from the penal company on 10 June 1942.

8 July 1911 | Dutch Jewish woman, Eva Polanus-van Boele, was born in Eindhoven. She was deported to #Auschwitz from Vught in November 1943. She perished in the camp on 31 January 1944.
