2 July 1915 | Antoni Czortek, a Polish boxer was born in Buśnia. He competed in the 1936 Berlin Olympics. In Auschwitz from 24 August 1943 No. 139599 He boxed in the camp. He survived the Death March to KL Mauthausen where he was liberated. Czortek passed away in 2004.

2 July 1892 | Jewish man Joseph Schechter, was born in Kropyvnytskyi (today Ukraine). A violinist. In Norway from 1919. First violinist of Bergen Symphony Orchestra. He arrived at #Auschwitz on 1 December 1942 and was registered in the camp. He perished there the next month. image
