28 June 1940 | A French Jewish girl, Sarah Zilberstein, was born in Le Mans. On 21 August 1942 she was deported from Drancy to #Auschwitz. After the selection she was murdered in a gas chamber.

28 June 1894 | Polish Jew, Zalmen Meresse, was born in Tarnów. He later emigrated to Vienna and then to Belgium. He was deported to #Auschwitz from Kazerne Dossin in Mechelen on 17 August 1942. He did not survive.

28 June 1910 | Italian Jewish woman, Elda Colombo, was born in Turin. She was deported to #Auschwitz from Milan on 30 January 1944. She did not survive.

27 June 1880 | Jewish man, Isak Leventhal, was born in Russian Empire (territory of today’s Latvia). Through the UK and Sweden he emigrated to Norway. He arrived at #Auschwitz on 1 December 1942 and was murdered in a gas chamber after arrival selection.

27 June 1898 | A German Sinti, Paul Hanstein, was born in Neukirchen. In #Zigeunerlager (Gypsy camp) in #Auschwitz II-Birkenau from 24 March 1943. No. Z-4975 He perished in the camp on 26 November 1943.

27 June 1926 | French Jewish boy, Léon Daltroff, was born in Metz. He was deported to #Auschwitz from #Drancy on 10 February 1944. He did not survive.

27 June 1927 | A Czech Jewish girl, Helena Pollaková, was born. She was deported to #Auschwitz from Theresienstadt Ghetto on 23 January 1943. She did not survive.

27 June 1895 | A Polish man, Paweł Hadaś, was born in Bytom. In #Auschwitz from 24 June 1940. No. 1110 He perished in the camp on 2 July 1941.

27 June 1925 | A Czech Jew, Martin Wels, was born in Karlovy Vary. He was deported to #Auschwitz from Theresienstadt Ghetto on 6 September 1943. He did not survive.

27 June 1933 | A Dutch Jewish girl, Sarah Elizabeth van der Heijm, was born in Rotterdam. Her family emigrated to France. In 1943 she was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.
