7 June 1906 | A Polish woman, Zofia Piotrowska, was born in Tarnopol. A nurse. In #Auschwitz from 19 January 1943. No. 29901 She perished in the camp on 24 February 1943.

7 June 1933 | An Italian Jewish girl, Nedda Segrè, was born in Venice. In February 1944 she was deported to #Auschwitz. She was murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.

7 June 1942 | A transport of 1,000 Jews deported from Compiegne in occupied France arrived at Auschwitz. They received nos. 38177-39176. 41 of them survived the war. On 15 August, 217 of them were still alive, meaning that 783 (78.3%) had perished within 10 weeks.

7 June 1932 | French Jewish boy, Georges Grynspan, was born in Paris. He was deported to #Auschwitz from Drancy on 18 September 1942. He was murdered in a gas chamber after arrival selection.

7 June 1900 | Czech Jew Erwin Haas was born in Olomouc. An electro-mechanic. In #Auschwitz from 11 June 1942. No. 39282 He perished in the camp on 26 June 1942.

7 June 1903 | A French Jewish woman, Alice Elisabeth Metzger, was born in Strasbourg. She was deported to #Auschwitz in November 1943 from Drancy. She did not survive.

6 June 1936 | A Czech Jewish girl, Eva Steindlerová, was born. She was deported to #Auschwitz from Theresienstadt Ghetto on 16 October 1944 with her mother Gertruda. They were both most probably murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.
