12 May 1917 | A Jewish woman, Suzanne Feldmann, was born. A stenographer. During the war she lived in France. She was deported to #Auschwitz from Drancy on 2 September 1943. She did not survive.

12 May 1911 | A Polish man, Antoni Tracichleb, was born in the village of Krupe. He was a clerk. In #Auschwitz from 3 November 1942. No. 72241 He perished in the camp on 17 January 1943.

12 May 1884 | A German Jewish woman, Minna Wolff, was born in Gießen. She was deported to #Auschwitz from Berlin in October 1943. She did not survive.

12 May 1928 | A Dutch Jewish boy, Max van den Berg, was born in Rotterdam. In August 1942 he was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber.

12 May 1901 | A Polish Jew, Moses Anger, was born in Radomyśl Wielki. A worker. In #Auschwitz from 24 February 1942. No. 25186 He perished in the camp on 3 march 1942.

11 May 1934 | A Hungarian Jewish girl, Györgyi Einhorn, was born. In July 1944 she was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber.

11 May 1907 | A Czech Jewish woman, Josefina Hellerová, was born in Miroslav. She was deported to #Auschwitz from the Theresienstadt Ghetto on 23 January 1943 together with her husband Walter. They did not survive.

11 May 1908 | A Polish woman, Maria Mikinka, was born. A tailor. In #Auschwitz from 15 January 1943. No. 29228 She perished in the camp on 5 March 1943.

11 May 1943 | At 7 p.m. in the SS kitchen building, an opera performance of "Charming Maiden" (Bezauberndes Fraulein) by Ralph Benatzky took place. Hella Witt from the Viennese theater "Raimund" played the leading role. SS men were instructed that their wives were not allowed to sit in the seats designated for the female camp supervisors.
