In July 1944 she was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber.
30 April 1939 | A French Jewish girl, Henriette Michele Hacker, was born in Clichy.
She arrived at #Auschwitz on 2 September 1942 in a transport of 1,000 Jews deported from Drancy. She was murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.
30 April 1943 | Eddy Hamel was murdered in a gas chamber in #Auschwitz. Born in #NYC in 1902. As a teenager, he moved to Amsterdam. 1st Jewish player in Ajax Amsterdam. He scored 8 goals in 125 league games. After arrest in Oct 1942, he was deported to Auschwitz with his wife & 2 kids.
30 April 1922 | A Polish woman, Ludwika Polus, was born in Krakow.

30 April 1903 | Czech Jew, Karel Braun, was born in Prague.
He was deported to #Auschwitz from Theresienstadt ghetto on 28 October 1944. He did not survive.
30 April 1945 | Soviet soldiers liberated Ravensbrück concentration camp with around 2,000 sick prisoners. Around 120,000 women and girls, as well as 20,000 men, were registered at Ravensbrück as prisoners between 1939 and 1945. Up to 30,000 perished.
30 April 1889 | An Italian Jewish woman, Ines Orvieto (née Pacifici), was born in Florence.
In December 1943 she was deported to #Auschwitz and, after selection, murdered in a gas chamber.
30 April 1945 | As Soviet forces neared his command bunker in Berlin Adolf Hitler shot himself.
Hitler's Thousand Year Reich lasted twelve years, four months & eight days.
We need to commemorate all the victims & remember where ideologies of hatred may lead humanity to.
