I've been arguing for years, since the pandemic that the invasion of the West has already started, and not just through physical war. Misogyny, anti-intellectualismβ€”all hallmarks of Ur-fascism were present. It's too late; Trump and Elon have Kremlin talking points. What we can do is adapt and prepare for the approaching multipolar world, whatever it is. There will be numerous problems, but we will see new types of progress. There will be a revolution in everything. Goodluck to everyone.
Miguel Nicolelis told me he's planning to have an Institute in Asia :)) we will have a talk for our future projects. I'm excited for 2025 already! support our brain-machine interface projects and conferences in the future! thank u see u Brazil next year. #neurotechnology #neuroscience #neuroskyence
I just finished writing an adventure book πŸ™‚ my first ever book!
Christmas in the Philippines started in September until this day! #MerryChristmas everyone! image
Americans described their politics as a circus. How can we describe our Philippine politics? Our Vice President literally said "If I get killed, kill the President, and the First Lady." Good grief. 😭 image
You can criticize academia for its imperfect system. You can criticize specific academics because of their views. You can criticize academics despite their expertise and credentials. However, a strong disdain for intellectuals and the arts will always be indicative of fascism. I know this, because I live in a country that had suppressed academic freedom.
we're having 4 typhoons in one week. :( #Philippines
I gasped at Philippines πŸ‡΅πŸ‡'s gown. The Galleon Trade, Islamism, Christianity, and Pacific maritime culture. #MissUniverse2024 #tootSEA #ASEAN
I noticed that necktie πŸ‘” for male academics, and neckscarf and pearl necklace πŸ¦ͺ for female academics are now disappearing. I think Gen X started this no-necktie suit. Only boomers still wear striped neckties. Pins for women have disappeared too. #academia #STEM #science #neuroscience
What is a Filipino? Watch and listen to my friend historian Xiao Chua. It is indeed important to note that pre-colonial Philippines had its own writing system which is a sign of a civilization. Hence why it was the Spaniards who adjusted to learn our language. Filipino intelligence is seen in our great Austronesian maritime expansion and language. #Philippines #SoutheastAsia #TootSEA #ASEAN #Austronesian
