smokers really arrive somewhere, sit down next to a stranger and start breathing smoke into their airspace
yo keep your poison and shitty lungs and sickness and wasted money on healthcare to yourself
so I was looking for zeronet last week and that's what led me to nostr, via someone's recommendation on reddit
and yesterday I realised that — at least on the surface — nostr appears to operate fairly similarly to zeronet, it just doesn't need a local web-server-like aspect
can any nostr developers confirm this?
of course, I could go learn about it, and at some point I probably will cos I am due to get my teeth into programming pretty soon so I might start with a nostr-related project
oh hi I'll get back to all y'all's replies soon! things going on like moving house and other personal issues, brb, afk, ttyl
At 4am this morning I woke up and went to pee and I couldn't finish peeing because I was dreaming about base 12 and so 9+1 (10) no longer felt like the end of a set so each time I got to 9+1 I had to keep counting up to 9+3 (12) but that also didn't feel like the end of a set so I was in this recursive loop of counting again and again trying to get to one of the 10s and anyway this is a story of why you shouldn't learn base 12 (but it's basically the only reason)
fun fact:
you can take full ownership of windowsapps folders and delete any apps that keep running in the background using up your ram and network
beware: this increases risks with viruses etc so be super careful to not install anything using administrator privileges unless you really trust it
i've deleted:
clipchamp
feedback hub
outlook
idk, some other things that kept running
my computer is MY computer, thanks very much microsoft
When you show someone your creative works and they say "why do that?" and it sounds like they don't have a clue about being creative for pleasure

Just been fighting a virus/malware situation on my computer.
I went to post some comments on VirusTotal but my long comment explaining how to handle it was rejected, maybe it was too long.
I've posted it on my gitbook website.
(Yeah I know I know, it's regular server-based internet)

Is there really no firewall software that blocks everything by default and pops up to ask you for permission each time a new app tries to connect outbound for the first time?
ok I'm looking for some software that automatically force-expires all session tokens for all logged-in accounts on my computer.
Malicious cracked software that steals session tokens is becoming increasingly common.
Does this exist? Can it be programmed? Can a session token be identified as active or expired?
((Yes, I do steal Adobe's and others' software. No, most creative workers around the world cannot afford their ridiculous licensing fees.))
Just opened Nostr and found a bunch of chill replies from a bunch of chill people. Heartwarming, not a feeling I've felt from social media in... Years..since the g+ days actually. Could be because the stuff I post on social media is not marketable, dopaminergic or otherwise algorithm-satiating, so my meaningful posts never gain any reach. Anyhoo, here it is nearly 2am so I'm off to sleep, GN Nostr (and Threads) 🥰 will read and reply to you all tomorrow — in the Lunar New Year! 😴💤
