Is anyone in Canada considering the possibikity, however remote, that Trump might just hand Alaska over? no seriously. He's stupid and insane. This is the kind of thing governments have to imagine. There is also the fact that Russia State TV was talking about the inevitability of taking Alaska at some point. source: Jake Bro's latest video. Confirmed, Meta has scraped my content for their AI. I have not given them permission to do this, at the same time, I did not explicitly prevent them from doing this. So I am sure by some stupid lawyer’s definition, they can use my content for whatever purpose they want. F that. If they want to do that, then the whole notion of “pirating video” or music, or software, or anything else that ends up in the public domain is right out the window. On the bright side, #socialbc does not appear on the list. #meta #copyright #personalproperty image
Let’s say I was considering self-hosting a Ghost blog as a replacement/upgrade for my very-long-running wordpress based blog? Are there good import tools for thousands of posts, images (cloud hosted and not) etc? (I've seen this article at Ghost, what are people's experience? ) Inquiring FediMinds want to know! :) And if you have opinions on Wordpress vs. Ghost, I’d be interested in hearing them. I don't have anything against WP per-se. Just interested in new kinds of blogging stuff. #Fediverse #Ghost #Wordpress #Migration #HowTo #selfhost
First test of the pump! Just turned the first pump on to make sure everything works. The regulator works! 100% power seems to draw about 160W. 50% was around 70W. Can't take a reliable picture of the display unfortunately. I will have to cut the main wire and extend it with a good extension cord so it can reach where I need it to. At least to the little grey shed for now. The controller has to stay dry and in reasonable temperatures. Not really looking forward to that job. I have cut/spliced/shrinkwrapped wire before but not on a $600 pump. 😬 Today though I will concentrate on hooking up the pipe to the filter to set up a circulation and figure out a temporary situation for the pump controller. edit: btw the pumps are both Jecod 20,000L/hr varieties. I am hoping (and calculated) that they are oversized so I can run them at 50-75% most of the time. #poolpond #backyardProject #DIY #electronics
