The trailer for this film looks really cool, it’s a number that it wasn’t more successful at the box office. A movie with a budget of 120 million, without marketing included and an opening weekend of 20 million dollars at the box office isn’t going to cut it.
Adjusted for inflation, it looks like overall box office for theatrical movies is trending lower every year. None of these stories ever adjust for inflation. Ticket prices are higher and less people are going to the movies so the box office “seems” pretty high but that’s not actually the case compared to 10,15, 20 years ago.
