Purple Martins are back! They've moved in just in time for nesting season. Nesting boxes for Purple martins were installed in harbours and marinas on Vancouver Island when people realized that there were only a few pairs left. The problem came from the European starlings. While looking for the elusive cougar, a very young bird landed right next to me and tweeted for a bit.
