When did the UK shut adults out from further education. When I was 23 I went back to college to get a child care qualification. Most of the people on my course where 17 and 18 but one of us was 21 and my the oldie at 23/24. My son was looking at retraining and wanted to do a IT Btec. Apparently you can't go to college anymore if you are over 19. That's it. You are out. So your only option is to pay for certificates. He can't go back to Uni either as he already had a student loan
