Yesterday night TechTuesday and Nostr relay workshop where nice! We had quite a few contributions on the soapbox. @Frank Meeuwsen about Claude Code, for which he has a fully booked session at @Wonders of Work on Friday. Marjon who is realizing one of her wishes to have collection covers in QuodLibet, did this with vibe coding with the same Claude Code. Frank (Wordpress community) shared about accounting for associations, Victor who shared about his event, which is also fully booked, but can be followed via Discord, and finally Bart Roorda shared more extensively about the car sharing he arranged with neighbors. It was great that it was so lively 🙂 As for the session, I did a workshop on setting up your own Nostr relay to be able to share the decentralized network, and soon also the exchange of stories and agendas within @Wonders of Work . The software I used turned out to be the English-language wok, strfry . I also shared , which allows you to link your own domain or a free subdomain to your dynamic IP address. I also shared , where you can find all the different relay software via the 'Relays' menu, and https://nostr.watch/, which provides an overview of most relays. This was also a learning experience for me, as many questions arose about how we were going to implement Nostr in Wondersofwork.nl. Not entirely relay-related, but interesting questions nonetheless. This is something I'll be discussing further with Wonders of Work. Finally, we had a little time left for Tech Tuesday itself, but we didn't really get around to it. The plan is to move it to a 3th Wednesday of the month. #TechTuesday #Workstr #Wonderstr
Just arrived at the @Noderunners Conference with @npub1v9rl...msnm and Bonne. Great to see a lot of Bitcoin maxi friends without 💩🪙 today. And happy to give a Nostr relay presentation together with @Sebastix #noderunnersconf #nostr #bitcoin image
Good day @ZEUS. I'm curious why the channel between your Olympus channel and my @Alby cloud hub was closed. Alby support told me "it was a co-operative closure from the counterparty (Olympus) which normally means that the channel was closed after the duration of the channel purchased. We don't show this in Alby Hub yet, I think Olympus has now extended to 1 year but it was previously 6 months I think. We are hoping to add more info when you purchase a channel from the LSP about the terms of usage.". I can't understand why channels are closed anyhow. What would be the reason for LSPs such as yours to close channels when there is an active wallet behind it, for me it doesn't make sense. Zeus states at the website "Olympus by ZEUS makes using Bitcoin and Lightning easier than ever, allowing you to focus on what really matters.", I don't know what this means for you, but for me it's doing regularly lightning payments at merchants and Nostr zaps. And in this case you make it hard instead of easy for me to focus on this. Thanks for clarifying and helping me out. hopefully we can make self custodian lightning easier together.
