Had a very good haircut in Almaty - first time I’ve had my hair cut abroad while we’ve been on the road. Still can’t find anywhere that will take payments in SATs out here. Rudely awoken at 5am this morning by the truck rocking. Turns out a Mercedes Sprinter had been trying to make a turn, misjudged their tail swing and whipped the back of their van in to the tail lift that holds the bikes. Jess suggested I get out and see if there’s any damage. Instead I looked outside, saw the van and where his damage was and realised we’d have little to no damage because sprinter van vs solid steel with angles is no competition. Turns out he’s broken a rear reflector. Found out later, his damage was “significant”… which is what you get if you crash in to a parked 15t truck! #overlandlife #globaladventure #alternativeliving
