The #Swatch beats probably would have gained wide usage if only they set it to UTC instead of Swatch HQ (BMT). I was enthusiastic about it other than that BMT timezone. There was a UTCโ€“based metric clock movement in response but had no marketing power as it was an advocacy by a few.
