Troubleshooting the TV and I've come to the conclusion that something with the backlight LEDs went bad. Probably not worth the effort to try and fix, and TVs are dirt cheap. $200 for a 50" Vizio.
GM and PV Plebs! Seems my LG TV decided to shit the bed after 3 years, almost to the day of buying it. How convenient from the planned obsolescence overlords. Going to try some troubleshooting today, it seems like maybe the backlight went out.
