The interpretation of ‘Yield’ first refers to the fruits. Yield may also speak of giving in, of holding on, or of succumbing to the weight. This painting is about that balance, the feeling of barely holding on. It aims to express both the sense of weight and heaviness, and at the same time a certain elegance. Perhaps this is something you recognize in your own life. We put so much pressure on ourselves and somehow present it as a kind of virtue. #art #artstr #symbolism View quoted note →
