So glad a dear friend moved back from Italy to live an easy cycle distance from me. It sparked memories of our frequent visits to Sacre Monte, which she could see from her kitchen window. There are 12 chapels you pass walking up the hill, depicting the life of Christ. I'm not religious, but it was always a pleasant walk.
